The Academy African Angel Academy (AAA) was established in early 2020 to grow the number of angel investors on the continent to catalyse and grow Africa’s early-stage investing and startup ecosystems.
After running a successful pilot with 50 new angel investors from five Southern African countries with seed funding from the Southern African Innovation Support Programme (SAIS), the need was clearly established: African angel investors play a critical role in the economic development of local startup markets.
